Hammock – “The Backward Step”

Unofficial video I made for Hammock‘s song The Backward Step off their album Chasing After Shadows, Living with Ghosts. The footage is from a surreal occurrence that happens in Troy, NY every year around May. Thousands of cottonwood seeds start flying around the air for about a week, collecting in “snow drifts” and generally making it a magical part of town. I shot most of this footage on a peak day where there was a good amount of wind.
